This walk, part of Carlisle One World’s Centre theme year of Bridging Faith Communities in Carlisle, is the second Faith Walk we will have hosted. It will connect 6 places of worship in Carlisle on a new route that will be no more than 2 miles in length. It will be a wheelchair and pushchair accessible urban walk, on pavements and will include several road crossings. Walkers will have an opportunity to pay a short visit to the places of worship along the route where they will meet a host who may offer a short prayer or blessing to the group. The walk will commence from Carlisle Cathedral and end at the University of Cumbria’s Chapel where the hosts will offer light refreshments to all participants. As it’s Fairtrade Fortnight the walk will include a short visit to the Carlisle World Shop.
