Kingmoor North is a wildlife haven sandwiched between a growing industrial city. Although quite small in size the nature reserve has some impressive features and interesting history, such as:
A cycleway running from the South to the North of the site.
The site was designated as a nature reserve in 1913, making it the oldest in Cumbria.
Join us to find out more about the history of the site and see if you can spot a squirrel scampering up a tree!!
Meeting at the entrance to the reserve at the bottom of Chandler Way, past Asda and the car garages on the site (near Lloyd Bodyshop). Parking is available within Asda car park, please be aware of parking restrictions on the site.
