Are you looking to get active & meet others who have finished cancer treatment in Waltham Forest? Life after Cancer would love to invite you to join them for a free, guided gentle wellbeing walk and talk in the beautiful Walthamstow wetlands.
The Wellbeing walking group provides gentle, low-impact exercise and a dedicated safe space for individuals who have finished cancer treatment to walk and talk without fear of judgment. This is a fun opportunity to get active at your own pace whilst meeting other adults who have finished cancer treatment.
The sessions are free and will be held once a month (from June - October) at 12:30 for 1 hour in the Walthamstow Wetlands

Who is this for? This is for anyone over the age of 18 who has finished cancer treatment (whether recently or many years ago), is looking to increase their mental wellbeing, get active with low impact exercise, and meet others who have also experienced cancer.
Our facilitator: Groups are facilitated by an accredited 'Feel Good' walk leader who has personal experience of cancer.

Venue: Walthamstow Wetlands, 2 Forest Road, Walthamstow, London, N17 9NH - the meeting point is under the bridge, in front of the Engine House Cafe
Essential info:
- This is a gentle walk around the reserve on paths - there may be some gentle inclines, strong stout footwear recommended
- The walk will be fully outdoors - so dress for the weather!
- Please bring some water and any walking aids if required
- Toilet facilities and a cafe are available
- Please note that there are unshaded parts of the walk and it can be warm in the summer
- There are plenty of places on route to stop and sit if needed, this is a gentle walk so go at your own pace
