Overview

Social Prescribing Link Workers from Wansbeck Community Links (Cygnus support in partnership with Wansbeck Primary Care Network) and Northumberland's Health Trainer Service lead a wellbeing walk in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea every Thursday morning at 10:30am.

The route starts at Newbiggin Surgery and goes from the high street, along the promenade, and finishes at the Elizabethan Hall, where the group stop for a cuppa and a chat.

This route is fully accessible, however individuals should be mindful there is a steep include, however there is a handrail alongside, that can be used for support.

Please note, the walk itself takes around 40 minutes, and walkers have the option to stay for a cuppa for as long as they please, however walk leaders leave at 12:30pm.
