Overview

Step back in time and explore with us this hidden gem in Cobham. Painshill park is a stunning 18th Century landscaped garden. There are many unusual follies, a water wheel, grotto and a vineyard dotted around tranquil lakes with picturesque views.

Usually a paid visitor attraction - with Wellbeing Walks you can enter and park for free as part of our scheduled walk and stay after the walk finishes. You must book your space on walks to Painshill park in advance. Please email health@elmbridge.gov.uk to request a spot. You will receive a confirmation email of your booking if you don't please double check you are booked on.

This will be a slow walk with a chance to briefly stop at the various follies - so there are numerous rest stops. There are some hilly parts to Painshill park. These are always taken slowly giving time to rest at the top of the hill. For certain hills there is the option to wait at the bottom whilst others go up to look at a particular view / folley.
