Overview

A lovely path through Minsmere’s woodland. This is a particularly quiet route. We will also be able to take in the spectacular view from Whin Hill on the return journey.

Grade 4. 60 to 90 minutes walking. This walk is not wheelchair accessible.

Free entry to the reserve and car parking - donations welcome. N.B no access to bird hides on this walk.

MEET FOR THE WALK outside the café, walk through shop to outside seating area. Do not gather in reception please.

Assistance dogs permitted only. MUST be kept on a short lead at all times.

This walk takes us through a nature reserve so we must abide by all guidance to avoid disturbing birds and wildlife. NB. highland cattle and Konik ponies on the reserve but these do not venture onto the footpaths. There is also a risk of adders in some places. Also be aware that there are deer and we will need to check for ticks.

Toilets and refreshments available.

No access by public transport.

Please join this walk with the RSPB Wellbeing Walks group, the group based at the Minsmere Reserve offer a monthly walk (excluding Dec 2023). A great opportunity to access this fantastic coastal nature reserve.

No need to pre book, please just turn up on the day. If this is your first Wellbeing Walk you will be required to complete a registration form before the walk. This form will be given to you by the walk leader.
