SHOREHAM LIBRARY TO THE OLD FORT

A lovely walk along the Broadwalk on Shoreham Beach to the Old Fort.
Shoreham Fort, also known as Kingston or Shoreham Redoubt, completed in June 1857 is one of only two surviving Forts in anything like its original form and is one of the many small forts and gun batteries built along the coast of Southern England.
Returning by the river and small Marina by the flats to the footbridge and back to the Library where everyone is welcome to join us at one of the cafes for refreshments.
This is a Level 2 walk.

Easy afternoon walk across the Southwick Locks and along the seafront to the East Breakwater. Beautiful views and opportunity to stop for refreshments on the seafront. Returning via Southwick Green to the Library.

SHOREHAM LIBRARY TO THE OLD TOLL BRIDGE

Beautiful walk from the Library to the River Adur, following the path to the Old Toll Bridge and crossing the river to the path on the other side that runs by the river on one side and the Airport on the other side. Returning by the colourful houseboats to the footbridge back to the Library. Everyone is welcome to join us at one of the local cafe's for refreshments. This walk is flat and the scenery is breath-taking.

The Lady Bee Marina

FISHERSGATE COMMUNITY CENTRE TO SOUTHWICK GREEN AND SOUTHWICK RECREATION GROUND

A pleasant walk from Fishersgate Community Centre down to the path by the harbour and past the Lady Bee Marina. Through to the Southwick Green and continuing on to Southwick Recreation Ground climbing the bridge over the railway line and back to Fishersgate Community Centre for refreshments.

Steady climb up South Downs Way to Beeding Hill then down into Upper Beeding before climbing up Windmill Hill and finally down into Bramber to return along the river.  Spectacular views en route.

Walking from Beeding Hill car park up the road to Truleigh Hill, this is quite a steep hill up to Truleigh Hill.l. There is an optional extension to Edburton Hill to enjoy the lovely views. Returning back to Beeding Hill car park
Stop for refreshments between April and October.
This is a Level 1 walk, but with the optional extension it is a Level 2 walk.

A very pleasant walk along the seafront towards the inland lake and Nature Reserve of either 30 minutes for those requiring a shorter walk or up to 1 hour for the full walk. returning to the Library via the High Street where everyone is welcome to join us for refreshments in one of the local cafes. The terrain is flat on this walk and there are toilets on the seafront. Meet outside Shoreham Library, St Mary's Road, Shoreham-by-Sea BN43 5ZA
This is a Level 1 walk.
Note: An optional extension further along Widewater would be a Level 2 walk.

Walk from Southwick Library through Southwick Park, over the Fishersgate footbridge over the railway to Fishersgate Recreation ground. Walking over the main seafront road to the steps down to the harbour and through the Lady Bee Marina. Continuing over the Southwick Locks to the seafront where we may stop for refreshments before returning back to the Library by way of Southwick Green.
This is a Level 1 walk.

LANCING LEISURE CENTRE TO LANCING RING

A short brisk walk from Lancing Leisure Centre up to Lancing Ring and back. There are great views out to sea and across to the Downs from the Ring.
There are no stiles but the paths can be uneven and become muddy after long spells of rain. This is level 2 walk.
There are toilets in the Leisure Centre and refreshments are available for purchase at the Cafe in the Centre

Circular walk from the car park in Bramber High Street walking alongside the River Adur to South Downs Way Bridge.
