An autumn walk

Start:

Blackwater and Snaprails Walk

Join us for a friendly walk along the beautiful river Blackwater, enjoying the wildlife along the way. You may even see a kingfisher!
Depending on your walking ability, you can choose between a brisk walk of just under 3 miles or shorter, slower options; whatever suits you.
We meet for coffee and a chat after the walk at Pistachio's.
Very occasionally, if the ground conditions are very muddy or flooded, we walk through Snaprails park instead.

Join us to walk in the countryside around Baughurst, through managed woodland, rare heathland, fields, water meadows and sometimes we cut through the golf course and skirt around a lake or two and walk on very quiet, narrow country roads and footpaths. There is plenty of wildlife, ancient meadows and beautiful wild flowers, including snowdrops, bluebells and orchids. Some views towards Watership Down. We finish our walk at a very welcoming cafe with toilet facilities which always reserves a table for us. Conditions can be very muddy in Baughurst some of the fields and water meadows can be very wet so please wear waterproof shoes at all times. Oakley Woodland Walk

Start:

Oakley Woodland Health & Wellbeing Walk

One hour walks at a moderate pace along local woodland and field footpaths.

We walk at a gentle pace with plenty of pause points to ‘be mindful’ … it could be a view, ripening barley field, wildflowers, birdsong etc… also, if appropriate do some simple mindful movements [Qigong]… which enhance mental and inner wellbeing. However this is dependant on seasons.
The actual walk is about 1 hour, but with pause moments will be longer … sometimes up to 1-1.5 hours.
