Come along to our weekly term time Monday walk taking in the beautiful sights of Portsolent along the Southampton Road for a refreshing Monday morning walk. We meet at Beacon View Primary Academy on the Marsden Road entrance and walk along to the Southampton Road, taking in the wonderful views and back up to Beacon view academy. Come along for a walk and talk and to meet others in the Paulsgrove area.

Meeting every Monday (except bank holidays). The Pond Buriton, GU31 5RT. 
60 – 90 minute walk covering 2-3 miles at a gentle to moderate pace.
Free parking, Buriton high-street Bus stop.
Terrain is footpaths through woodland with some hills.

Autumn Denmead

Denmead - Sorry Walk full!

Sorry this walk is full, we will update the listing when spaces become available.

60 minute walk covering 1.5 miles - 2.5 miles. Terrain is flat, paved and woodland. Walkers can discover numerous footpaths around the Denmead village, This predominantly flat course takes in the wildlife and changing scenery of the Denmead area, offering some outstanding local countryside. Occasional social events after walks.

Start:

Derby Road Post Office Walk

Join us for our invigorating walk along to the foreshore, meeting outside Derby road post office in Northend. This a lovely gentle walk, chatting along the way and taking in the beautiful views of the shore halfway through the walk. This walk is flat paced and takes around an hour. The walk ends in a local cafe if you would like to join us for refreshments after the walk.

Start:

Pier to Pier Walk

Come and join us on our walk where we start at South Parade Pier in Southsea. We walk along the promenade passing attractions including Southsea Castle, the D Day Museum and sights over the Solent. We walk to Clarence Pier and take a walk back from here to a local café for tea or coffee. This is a wonderful seafront walk for taking in the fresh sea air, and seeing the sights that Southsea has to offer. This is a flat path which is suitable for all abilities.

Mortimer Long Walk (The Community Centre Car Park, The Street)

Come and join us for a brisk walk around the beautiful countryside surrounding the village of Mortimer. All are welcome so please come along! The walk is FREE to join and takes place on a weekly basis. If it is your first time walking with us, please sign up for the Wellbeing Walks on this website. Alternatively someone is available to help you fill out a brief form on the day. You will recognise the volunteer walk leader from their high-vis jacket.

The group meets in the car park opposite the pub (Horse and Groom),  and the long walk is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes of brisk walking with brief rests along the route when needed. There is also a short walk (10:30am) and a regular walk (10:00am) available from the same location. 

The group often meets for refreshments afterwards, all are welcome to join after the walk at the Horse and Groom Pub.

Oakley Woodland Walk

Oakley Woodland Health & Wellbeing Walk

One hour walks at a moderate pace along local woodland and field footpaths.

We walk at a gentle pace with plenty of pause points to ‘be mindful’ … it could be a view, ripening barley field, wildflowers, birdsong etc… also, if appropriate do some simple mindful movements [Qigong]… which enhance mental and inner wellbeing. However this is dependant on seasons.
The actual walk is about 1 hour, but with pause moments will be longer … sometimes up to 1-1.5 hours.

Staunton

Start:

Staunton Country Park

Join us for a walk around the grounds of the beautiful Staunton Park estate, skirting along the edge of the new reservoir site at Havant Thicket. The meeting place is the Visitor centre at 10:00 for a 10:15 start. The walk will is approximately 60 minutes long, at a moderate pace. Ground are most flat with some uneven and muddy patches (worse in wet weather). 

Well behaved dogs on leads welcome. As with all Wellbeing walks, you do not need to register first or tell the leaders you are coming.

Terrain is Forestry England woodland.
Come and join our stunning country walks through the forest taking place each week on a Tuesday morning from September to April. Watch the changing seasons an enjoy witnessing the forever-changing flora and fauna.

Inkpen (Crown and Garter Inn)

Join us for a walk around the beautiful historic village of Inkpen. The walk is circular and starts and finishes at  the Crown & Garter (the local pub & cafe) providing an opportunity for a tea or coffee and a catch up! 

This walk takes in a variety of views, including woodland and farm landscapes. 

The route taken varies depending on the groups preferences on the day, and the walk is inclusive of all abilities. There are sometimes stiles on route, however if this is not suitable please do let John (the Walk Leader) know as there are alternative routes available and he will be happy to ensure the route taken is suitable. 

Unfortunately due to the rural nature of the walk, this walk is not fully accessible and is therefore not wheelchair or buggy friendly.

Tuesday 10:15am. Triangle Centre, Mill Road, GU33 7DX. Walks of up to 90 minutes covering 3 miles. Shorter walks available on request. Toilets, dementia friendly, bus stop Liss Village Hall. Terrain is footpaths, woodland, and local lanes. Gentle walks through quiet country lanes and footpaths for people wanting to get back to fitness. Stamshaw Foreshore Walk

Join us for our Tuesday walk from Buckland Community Centre, where we meet inside the reception area for a revitalising walk over to Stamshaw Foreshore. We walk through the green in Stamshaw, over to the foreshore where you can see views over to Portchester Castle. The walk is a flat path, with some inclines under the underpass. The walks takes approximately 70 minutes, and we finish in Buckland Community Centre cafe for refreshments if you wish to join us.

Park to Park Walk - Introductory Walk

Join us on our beginners short walk from Eastney Community centre, to Milton Village hall. We take a stroll through Bransbury and Milton Park, where we stop for refreshments in a local cafe afterwards. This walk is vibrant, and we walk through lots of green, helping to get the most out of your walk for you mind and body. Ideal for beginners to walking or exercise, or those who are recovering from illness or injury. The walk takes around 30 minutes.

Wake Park Hilsea Lido Walk

Join us on our Wake Park Walk, which takes place every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. This is a refreshing walk, taking in the views of the water whilst also viewing the greenery in the area. This walk is at a leisurely pace, and takes around one hour. We stop afterwards for refreshments outside at the local cafe.
