Welcome to our walk through woodland and along ancient trackways. Stop at the mid-point of the Greensand Way, which runs through the Chart, and read the plaque indicating that you are 55 miles from Haslemere in the west and 55 miles from Hamstreet, Kent in the east – a route of 110 miles. Parking is available in the pub car park and on the road. Can be reached by taking the 594 bus.

Grosvenor and Hilbert Park
Join us for a walk in one of the town's oldest public parks, designed by the renowned Victorian landscape architect Robert Marnock in 1889. It still contains original historic features, such as Marnock Lake and the grottoes or 'dripping wells'. There are excellent facilities including accessible paths, a café, public toilets and play areas for your children to enjoy.
Our walk will be available every Monday morning (excluding Bank Holidays) from 10.30am and will last approximately 60 minutes. Our route may vary slightly each week but we will visit several of the Park's key features as we go.
There is no car park but the park can be accessed for free from several entrances, the main ones being from Auckland Road, Upper Grosvenor Road and Hilbert Road. It is just a short walk or cycle from both the town centre and High Brooms train station. It is also on the 281 Bus route.

Join us as we explore two of Tunbridge Wells most central parks, Calverley Grounds and the Grove Park. Calverley Grounds is located in the town centre, this popular and historic park has attractive lawns and ornamental gardens and welcoming café which is where the walk will commence and finish. Both parks have well surfaced routes suitable for visitors with pushchairs and/or wheelchairs and dogs on leads are welcome. Car parks are available nearby at Crescent Road and Great Hall Arcade and there are public transport links nearby.

Dunorlan Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells
Join us for a walk in this large and beautiful park, which features a lake, several ponds and marshy areas; it has wide expanses of grass, trees and shrubberies. There are excellent facilities with a fine café, a boat house, public toilets and accessible paths. Our walk will leave at 10am on the second and fourth Friday of every month and it will take us between 40 to 60 minutes to walk around the lake and visit one or two other features. Free parking is available. The main car park is reached via the A264 Pembury Road and can get full quite quickly due to its popularity (TN2 3QA for satnavs). There is some limited parking on the Bayhall Road round the other side of the Park and toilets are located near the Halls Hole Road entrance (TN2 4RE).

Cherry Orchard Walk
Meet at the roundabout opposite Barnardo's charity shop near Tesco Express, just off Hermitage Lane, south of Maidstone Hospital. Leaving at 11.30, this walk normally lasts around 1 hour, taking in woodland paths and pavements. A variety of lovely routes around the site of the old Oakwood Hospital: Past old and modern architecture or through the countryside and woods. Bluebells present in spring! Suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Alternative routes available to ensure safe walking possible under all conditions. Walkers normally finish by going to the Blackthorn Café for light refreshments. The Facebook group ...""' Cuxton Views ""... have teamed up with the Ramblers wellbeing walks, Medway Health Walks and the Public Health team in Medway to offer a walk through the countryside in and around Cuxton
First-time participants will be required to complete any outstanding registration processes as advised by the volunteer walk leader.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, we kindly request that everyone adheres to the established guidelines and pre-planned routes, which have been thoroughly mapped, walked, and risk assessed.
We welcome numerous visitors to Medway who join our walks to explore new areas they can revisit independently.
Our walks are designed to promote health and well-being by encouraging physical activity while allowing participants to enjoy their local surroundings in the company of others.
In the absence of a walk leader, we recommend that you proceed with your walk independently to avoid missing out.
Walkers may be informed about key points of interest along the route and any potential hazards.
All our guided walking routes have been risk assessed. While we will try to avoid steep hills, steps, and very muddy or slippery surfaces, participants should be prepared for hills appropriate to the walk’s level, uneven surfaces, and potentially slippery terrain.
Local grade 4/5: Suitable for walkers who are interested in walking for their health. Walks are up to 75 minutes and generally just over 3 miles. Walks will include slopes and less rest stops than the normal grade 3 walks.

On the fourth Wednesday of every month, you will be welcomed by this friendly group for a walk on Outwood Common. Enjoy a refreshing circular walk through coppiced woods and across open farmland. See the well known windmill, seasonal wild flowers, and crops grown by local farmers. This is a 75 - 90 minutes walk from the National Trust car park. The route is along footpaths, goes through a kissing gate, across a bridge over a small stream, and has one slope.

Merstham Moors & Marshes
You will be welcomed by this friendly group, to join them on a walk on the marshes and around the lakes in South Merstham. There is plenty of wildlife such as ducks, grebes, swans, coots, cormorants and herons. In the springtime, you will see lambs in the surrounding fields. The walk lasts 90-minutes and starts from the Merstham Community Hub/library.
The route goes across the lakes on the Watercolour Development for a little bird watching and then on into the countryside nearby. There are good walking surfaces throughout, with an alterntive route if the path becomes flooded.
The walk can also be joined at the junction of Nutfield Road and Holmesdale Avenue at 11:20

Town Walk - from the town centre down onto the river.
This lovely walk shows you Maidstone from the waterside. Meet us outside the Brenchley in Jubilee Square, near the old Town Hall. From there the walk is led through the town centre into Brenchley Gardens and then takes you via the bridge over the road and river to Whatman Park along the river Medway and then over one of the bridges and back to town. Suitable for wheelchairs and buggies with care.
Occasionally the walk heads down to the river by the Archbishop’s Palace, then over the footbridge and along the riverbank to just beyond the Tovil footbridge, returning the same way.
Refreshments are available after the walk from the boat café on the river or the Brenchley.

Start:
Wellbeing Walk at Farthing Downs, Croydon
We have started our Farthing Downs Wellbeing Walk in Coulsdon!
We will be meeting at Coulsdon South Station (the back entrance in Reddown Road).
The buses 60 and 404 stop nearby Marlpit Lane and the 405 stops at the front of Coulsdon South Station on the Brighton Road.
The walk is on grassy paths and has an uphill section at the start, this section lasts for about 20 minutes. Therefore, is a moderate walk.
The walk is approximately 1.5 hours, starting at 10.30 am on Thursday morning.
Halfway (at the top of Farthing Downs) there are toilets and at the end of the walk, nearby Marlpit Lane, Memorial Park, is the Poppy Cafe.
Farthing Downs is a site of special scientific interest and is part of the South London Downs National Nature Reserve.
It is a rare chalk down habitat and depending on the time of year you might see orchids, greater yellow rattle, scabious and many other chalk downland flowers.
If you are interested in birds; yellow hammers, skylarks, long tailed tits, kestrels, buzzards and red kites are regular bird sightings.
If you are bringing dogs, we ask for them to be on leads during the walk.
