Long Distance Walks

This page gives some more information on the long distance paths we have walked. We are fortunate to have a large number of long distance paths within easy reach. These include:

- Milton Keynes Boundary Walk

- North Bucks Way

- Cross Bucks Way

- South Bucks Way

- Hertfordshire Way

- Chiltern Way

- Ridgeway

- Swan's Way

We finished the South West Coastal Path in Easter 2016. We walked this in six stages, starting from Poole at Easter 2011. Each section was walked over 10 days apart from the last section which we finished in six days.

Our next long walk is the Welsh Coastal Path, which is even longer that the SW Coastal Path -- we must be mad!

We also completed the Great English Walk in 2016 from Chepstow to Berwick on Tweed. We have been walking this over bank holiday weekends for several years and have finally reached the Scottish border.

Another long distance adventure was completed this summer. This was the Cross Britain Way which is one of the Macmillan routes. This 280 mile walk starts at Boston, Lincolnshire and finishes at Barmouth on the Welsh coast, going via Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Penkridge, Much Wenlock, Church Stretton, Welshpool, Bala and Dogellau. We finished this interesting path in August 2017.

It will be interesting to see what's coming next..
