Our activities include:
Short and easy walks

There is no need to book a place on our walks, just turn up in good time at the start of the walk. 

Lea Valley Friends invite you to join our easy-paced four mile walks (approx.) in

  • Essex countryside,
  • Epping Forest,
  • Country Parks,
  • historic walks in London,
  • through Royal Parks 
  • along  River Thames,
  • River Lea
  • canal towpaths.
  • occasional walks in Hertfordshire and by the seaside in Essex or Kent.

There is no need to book a place on our walks, just turn up in good time at the start of the walk.

Walks usually start at 10.30am and finish by 12.30 to 1pm with a short refreshment stop. Walks in London often take a little longer because of the historic information given by the leader and the need to get everyone safely across roads etc.

Children welcome with responsible adult.

Sorry no dogs apart from Assistance Dogs - ie Guide Dogs.

You are welcome to join us on three walks to see how you enjoy them, then we would ask you to join the Ramblers on line,  specifying Lea Valley Friends Group for our short (4 mile) walks.
