Meeting Point: Llantrisant Leisure Centre Car Park (ST047831); unless otherwise stated. N.B. If there is any reason to suspect that the walk may be cancelled or changed in any way, please contact the leader before setting out. In such cases the leader or substitute will be at the leisure centre to give further instructions. He may not be at the start of the walk. Anyone going directly to the start of the walk does so at their own risk.
Walks: It is important to have suitable footwear. It is also essential to have with you AT ALL TIMES, wet weather clothing, warm clothes etc.
Refreshments: Bring enough food & drink for a coffee break, lunch & afternoon breaks on full day walks.
Weather: In case of bad weather the walk can be cancelled or the route changed at the discretion of the Leader.
Dogs: Please contact the walk leader to see if you can bring your dog. All dogs must be kept under control and be appropriately vaccinated.
Liability: Whilst leaders will take every care for safety of walkers, the group can accept no liability for injury. Please satisfy yourself that you are fit and well enough equipped for the walk you join. If you are unsure of your fitness level try a short and easy walk first; it is much better to find a walk a little too slow and easy than to make yourself miserable and exhausted. For your own and others' safety read and abide by any instructions issued by the walk's leader. Though walking is one of the safest outdoor activities, no activity is completely without risk and it is your responsibility to behave sensibly and to minimise the potential for accidents to occur.
Leaving the walk early: Anyone leaving the walk prematurely must advise the leader.
Tasters: New walkers may have three 'taster' walks after which, if they wish to continue to walk with the group, will be expected to join the Ramblers' Association.
Transport Costs: Our group encourages car sharing from our meeting point in Llantrisant. Drivers often appreciate it when passengers make a voluntary contribution.
