Corona Virus: Latest

Following the recent announcements, we can confirm that Ramblers group walks and activities all continue but we will take sensible precautions to keep everyone safe. We are continuing to monitor the situation, particularly in relation to the new Omicron variant.

From Friday 10 December: Face coverings are required in most indoor public settings. This affects AGMs, committee meetings, training and other indoor events. We recommend holding events online or outdoors where possible – and if you are planning to meet indoors, take a lateral flow test beforehand.

When travelling to and from Ramblers activities, always follow the government advice on safer travel. Face coverings are required on public transport, and we recommend taking precautions when car-sharing too.

Our Walks

Our programme for the early part of 2022 is now availabe. We will observe all the Covid regulations that are current including a risk assessment and a walk register. Details of forthcoming  walks are shown on the right of this page and via this link.

At our recent AGM we decided that in the current situation we would still prefer people to pre-book on walks, leaving your phone number.  At the start of the walk, Walk Leaders will collect names and phone numbers of those not booked. If you book then walk leaders can send you more detailed information and also if any last minute changes they can let you know directly. If you don’t book please check this Website or Facebook for any last minute changes or information.

Our current walks programme can be seen by following this link.
