Group name: Blackheath
This group is a part of Inner London Area.
Our activities include:
Short and easy walks, Dog-friendly walks
We help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. We organise regular walks led by local experts through the stunning countryside surrounding London, particularly Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and regular shorter walks (no more than five miles) in London itself, especially in our home boroughs of Greenwich and Lewisham.
We're a friendly bunch of people from all walks of life and all ages and abilities, and our walks are a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us.
NOTES FOR WALKERS
The shorter walks are at an easy pace, while the longer walks are moderate to brisk. Our longer walks always have an hour's lunch break, with a country pub being a central feature of the day, while most of the shorter walks include a tea stop. Walks always start from a railway station, and we usually recommend train times (except where there are frequent services). But these can change, so we strongly advise that you check times with National Rail (www.nationalrail.co.uk, 08457 48 49 50) or TfL (www.tfl.gov.uk, 0343 222 1234) before travelling.
