Read the latest Ramblers COVID-19 advice HERE Due to COVID-19, we all need to take extra steps to stay safe. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms you MUST NOT attend the group walk.
Please follow all safety advice given by the walk leader and the walk risk assessment, including guidance on physical distancing, minimising the use of car sharing and public transport, minimising contact with surfaces, using your own hand sanitiser and to carry a face cover in case of an incident.
Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.
The Sleaford Group usually walks within the county. Walks are normally circular.
- Sunday walks are generally on alternate weekends, 8 to 10 miles, starting at 10am. There is a morning break and a half hour lunch stop, but please remember to bring your own food and drink.
- During the Spring and Summer months there is an extensive programme of Thursday evening walks, starting at 7pm and are generally 4 to 5 miles.
Look out for the coach trip to take us out of the county, usually for a long walk 8 to 10 miles, a short walk 4 to 5 miles or just to visit the location for pleasure. Coach normally leaves Sleaford at 8am on the closed Sunday.
More details on walks, events and other interactions can be found on Sleaford group's own website 'Sleaford & District Ramblers' Look for the "Search for Walks" / "Sleaford Group Walks List"

Walkers are encouraged to complete a "In Case Of Emergency Card" and carry the card on all walks. This card can be obtained through your walk leader, subject to availability.
We are always looking for walk leaders and invite members of the Ramblers to come forward for walks each year. To help prospective walk leaders please visit our "Information for Walk Leaders" page.
