Even during the winter months, the Heritage Way has been walked. Our website reveals that it has been visited by people living well outside the area - even one enquiry from Somalia!
Ramblers' Groups in Northumbria have already begun their 2019 stewardship walks along the section that they have volunteered to monitor. Additional waymarking has been put up in some sections and thanks are due particularly at this point to North Tyneside for the very attractive and substantial waymarks that have been used.
