Then why not try the ‘A-Plus’ walks?

These are a little more challenging (longer and/or harder) than the normal Sunday ‘A’ walks. The walks vary from very hilly to very wild to just plain long and all combinations in between!  You will be guaranteed an exciting day in areas you may not have walked before. The walks will normally be held monthly on Saturdays usually starting at  09.00 with details posted on the web site or available from the ‘A-Plus’ Walks Organiser. As the walks are more challenging and to ensure you have an enjoyable and rewarding walk, please read the notes below before booking on a walk. 

NOTES

• Walks to take place monthly on Saturdays. 
• All walks will be guided.
• The areas walked may not be easily accessible by public transport so anyone wishing to walk may need to use their own transport or come to some transport sharing agreement.
• The walks will be reasonably strenuous/long.  Please ensure you can cover the distance comfortably and carry appropriate clothing/equipment/food/drink.
• Walk details will be posted on the web site or available from the ‘A-Plus’ Walks Organiser.
• Maximum number walkers: 12 per event.  Places to be booked by contacting ‘A-Plus’ Walks Organiser.

• 18 June  -
  WEAVER HILLS, Staffs.

  DISTANCE:  19miles/30km
  
  DESCRIPTION: A fairly strenuous route on some little used paths.  We will be visiting the stunning Wooton Hall and Park, walk by the very pretty lakes of Waste Lane and experience scenic views from the trig point on the Weaver Hills.  Also included will be a visit to the iconic 400 year old Yew Tree pub in Cauldon Low (and a chance for toilets).  

• ROUTE: Ellastone, Wooton Hall, walk by the very pretty lakes of Waste Lane, edge of Ramshorn Woods, Ribden, Hofton's Cross, Cauldon, The Dale, Dale Abbey Farm, Wetside Lane, Weaver Hills trig point, Wooton, Ousley Wood, Calwich Bank/Abbey/Park, Ellaston (there is a pub for those requiring liquid sustenance at the end of the walk!)
   

• 15th-17th July
  A+ WEEKEND - BERWICK-ON-TWEED
  I have provisionally booked 1x6 bedded room and 1x5 bedded room at the youth hostel in Berwick on Tweed.
  Current interest is 6 people which would be £49 each/person/per night (excluding breakfast).  If there is further interest the price per person will reduce.
