Our Walks Programme

We publish our programme 3 times a year.  The current one runs until July 2022 and you can see information about each walk to the right of this page. The walks normally vary between 5 and 12 miles.  We tend to walk at a moderate pace but the terrain varies enormously and can include some quite challenging hills or rough surfaces.  Walks tend to be a bit shorter in the winter, as the days get shorter and the weather less reliable.  If you are unsure of your ability to do a walk, do have a chat with the leader in advance. 

We always advise suitable clothing, with stout and waterproofed boots preferred.  During colder and less predictable weather, do take some extra layers and waterproofs. We have a coffee break and a lunch break, unless the walk is very short, so don't forget to bring snacks and/or packed lunch.  And don't forget plenty of water and hot drinks.

All walks start promptly at 10am unless the programme states otherwise.  

Walks are intended for Ramblers members, but newcomers are encouraged to try us out before signing up, and visitors from other groups are always welcome.

We regret that no dogs are allowed on our walks.

Be aware that walks can be cancelled at short notice, particularly in adverse weather conditions where walking might be deemed unsafe. Please contact the walk leader to confirm that the walk is going ahead.
