Without clear and open footpaths no one can go walking.
We work with the support of Local Authorities to maintain and improve our rights of way and protect the places we love to walk.
Our path maintenance volunteer team helps repair and clear local footpaths and keep open rights of way. Our local councils loan us the tools and provide training and insurance.
We meet every thrid Thursday of the month to improve a local path for walkers (and possibly riders too as some paths we clear are bridleways).
We cut back hedges and clear undergrowth where paths have become blocked. We work with other volunteer groups to repair stiles, install steps or provide a hard surface over boggy bits.
You can get 'hands on' in looking after our green spaces and open up new paths to roam. If you can spend a day or half day that would be very much appreciated, not just by our Ramblers Groups' members but by all walkers everywhere: call us or send an email to find out more.
