OSWESTRY RAMBLERS HOLIDAYS

ANGLESEY HOLIDAY MAY 16th - 19th 2022.  4 days of walking on Anglesey Coast Path

25 members joined our holiday in the north of Anglesey.  Huw and Janet led 4 great walks on the coast path from Cemaes Bay to Porth Wen, Cemlyn Bay to Church Bay. Church Bay to Llanfachraeth and around South Stack, North Stack and Holyhead Mountain. It is a very varied coastline with cliffs and beaches, lovely views, spring flowers, seals and birds.  By popular demand George also led some extra, shorter walks for members on two of the days. Very many thanks to everyone for their contributions, making this such a successful and enjoyable trip.

BRECON (HF HOLIDAYS) 7 - 10th OCTOBER 2022.  2 days guided walking and 3 nights DB&B (+ 2 packed lunches) in Country House.  Choice of 3 walks each day.  If you would like to join, spaces may become available, please email Ceinwen

OUR COMMITTEE

In November 2021, Alison Curran suceeded Colin Chandler as our Group Chair.  Congratulations Alison, we are looking forward to working with you!  Alison is well known in the group as a Walk Leader and of course for her knowledge of fungi.  The AGM evening also featured some excelllent food and we learnt about our proposed project to improve Wat's Dyke Way between Maesbury Marsh, Oswestry and Preeshenlle Bridge.  Ceinwen Danby is stepping down as Thursday Walk Programme Co-ordinator and Nigel Wilkins has offered to take on this role and will be joining the Committee. A big thank you to Colin and Ceinwen for all their work for Oswestry Ramblers.
