Don't Lose Your Way – update 

At the end of March, we celebrated the completion of our Don't Lose Your Way crowdsourcing campaign. Thousands of people joined the search for lost paths, and together we mapped all of England and Wales in just six weeks, an amazing achievement. Now we are checking through all the data.

Soon we’ll be able to announce how many paths we found, and more information about our plans for supporting research into lost paths so we can save them for future generations. The team can be contacted at

Volunteers – please update your details 

If you volunteer as walk leader, path maintenance team member, footpath secretary, or in any other capacity, please update your details at the new Volunteer Check-in page on the Ramblers website. It will help ensure you receive appropriate support and communications from the Ramblers. Please note that committee member refers to national level only.

To check or update your details:

  • Login to the Ramblers website and click My account and Update profile
  • At the page bottom see My Volunteering - click the plus sign to open the list. A list of possible volunteer roles will be displayed together with those the Ramblers has on record for you
  • Tick all the roles that apply, and untick any that no longer apply then click Submit/Confirm 

If volunteers do not have an account, they can create one by clicking on Register now at: 

Self help

  • Printable walk list/table: The most up to date information is always on this website. A printed list is only accurate at the time it’s prepared but if you need a hard copy: 
    • Ensure that the green Our group walks panel on the home page is expanded (if not, click on ‘+’ at the panel top) and then click on More Walks at the panel bottom.
    • Near the top of the new page, select your required date range, ensure that the Group walks tab is enabled, and set Results per Page to (10/20/50) as preferred.
    • Scroll down to the bottom of the new page and click on either Print text or Print table, ready to print. For the table version set your printer driver to landscape.
  • Walks difficulty – how easy is a walk

Group eNewsletter publication dates 

The eNewsletter is sent to those members opted in to receive email, four times a year around the 21st of February, May, August and November. Copy date for contributions, which should be sent to, is 7th of those months.
