Chief Executive Officer

The Ramblers is seeking an inspirational and highly skilled Chief Executive Officer who has empathy and enthusiasm for our mission and objectives.
The CEO will work with a range of stakeholders to devise and deliver a strategy that provides benefit to walkers across Great Britain and results in an inclusive and diverse organisation fit for a modern society.  The Ramblers' new CEO will be results-focused, supporting our staff and 22,000 volunteers to perform their roles effectively and deliver value to our beneficiaries and supporters.
Required experience:

• Previously held the role of CEO or senior director in a large charity or non-profit, working closely with the governance body

• Strategic planning, budgeting and decision making at Board level

• Direct experience of working with volunteers in a large volunteer-led organisation

• Successfully led an organisation through transformational change

• Empowered and developed direct reports at Director level, so they deliver challenging objectives

• Built effective relationships with the external organisations, influencers and the media
