HF Holidays celebrate centenary with free open days

Walking in Malhamdale

Walking in Malhamdale

Britain’s largest walking and outdoor leisure holiday specialist are opening the doors of two of their country houses on 6 October and will be running local walks to give you a taster of what an HF Holidays walking holiday is all about.

The open days will be at Newfield Hall in Malhamdale, North Yorkshire, and Harrington House in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire, with short, medium and long walks starting at intervals throughout the day from both locations.

Take in impressive views of the Goredale Scar limestone ravine or Malham Tarn lake on walks from Malhamdale or meander through the pretty villages of Lower and Upper Slaughter and Sherborne on outings from Bourton-on-the-Water.

The open days form part of HF Holidays’ centenary celebrations which have also included illustrated talks for local Ramblers groups on the history of the co-operative holiday provider, whose founder TA Leonard was once president of the Ramblers.

Find out more about the open days or the latest special offers for Ramblers members from our walking holiday partner HF Holidays.
