The holiday will feature three days of path work restoring a local path
If the opportunity to learn new outdoor skills and do some hearty physical activity while improving the path network appeals to you then you’ll be pleased to know we’ve teamed up with HF Holidays for our first ever path maintenance holiday.
Based from Chy Morvah Country House in St Ives, Cornwall, the four-night working break will involve working alongside volunteers from the Cornwall Ramblers to restore a local path at Wendron near Helston.
Under the experienced eye of our volunteers you’ll learn valuable path maintenance skills and discover just how rewarding path work can be with tasks including building steps and a boardwalk and clearing vegetation.
The holiday also features opportunities to explore the local area on foot and you’ll also be able to enjoy evening activities and full use of the facilities at Chy Morvah where you’ll have full board (including a picnic lunch) and en-suite accommodation.
The holiday takes place from 19-22 October and costs £375 per person. To find out more about the holiday – open to both existing Ramblers members and to non-members – and to book your place visit the HF Holidays website.
We’re hoping to run further path maintenance holidays in the future so look out for more news in the coming year!
