One week left to vote for our volunteers

Aylesbury & District Ramblers

The Aylesbury & District Ramblers are nominated for the Best Team Achievement Award for their work to create the Outer Aylesbury Ring

Time is running out to have your say in this year’s President’s Volunteer Awards which recognise the many achievements of our volunteers in the last year from helping people improve their health through walking to ensuring the places we all love to walk are protected.

We received over 50 nominations for the Awards and our President Kate Ashbrook had the tough job of shortlisting three nominees in each of the six award categories. Now there’s just a week left to vote for your favourite nominees and help decide the winners.

“The Awards are a great opportunity to reward the tireless efforts of our volunteers who give their time and skills whatever the weather for the benefit of walkers everywhere” said Ed Wilson, Volunteer Support Officer at the Ramblers.

“We’re looking forward to revealing the winners at a ceremony during our General Council in Liverpool on 29 March,” added Ed. “It’s an opportunity to congratulate them but also to thank everyone who’s given their time to the Ramblers in the last year.”

You can find out more about the finalists in each of the six award categories in the Volunteer Zone.
