A footpath on the outskirts of Lincoln has finally been restored after being covered by a large area of water. The 'pond' was impossible to get around and meant the path had been unusable since 2005.

The Scarborough Ramblers have built up a strong relationship with the North York Moors National Park Authority (NYMNPA) to improve the places people walk in the park, giving their time to practical projects such as vegetation clearance.

The City of Birmingham Ramblers are introducing monthly short circular walks on midweek evenings throughout the summer to offer people the chance to make the most of the longer daylight hours and warmer weather during the working week.

The Glasgow Ramblers have teamed up with Walk Glasgow to help people progress from shorter walks designed to help improve health and wellbeing to longer walks via free walks designed to encourage people to walk that little bit further.

Walkers, horse riders and cyclists in Burstwick, East Yorkshire, are celebrating following the news that a much-needed bridleway that will allow people to avoid two busy roads has been saved thanks to the efforts of the Ramblers and the British Horse Society (BHS).

A well-used, historic path leading to Nottingham Castle has now been declared a public footpath thanks to the efforts of local residents and Ramblers volunteers, following attempts by the management company of a nearby private residential housing estate to block the route.
