A path in the Whitby area of Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, which connects local people to the ancient woodland of Stanney Wood Country Park, has been officially recognised as a footpath thanks to the efforts of local residents and the Ramblers.

Walkers joined Ramblers volunteers for our first ever path maintenance holiday in October, opening up a stretch of footpath at Wendron near Helston in Cornwall to the delight of local residents.

Since 2012 the Helensburgh and West Dunbartonshire Ramblers have worked to upgrade and extend the boardwalk path in the Peaton Hill Community Nature Reserve on the Rosneath Peninsula, making it easier for walkers to enjoy the wildlife haven.
