Scot Mountain Holidays winner

Congratulations to our winner, Jacqueline Melville.

Jacqueline wins the chance to go on a Cairngorms trek and spend an unforgettable night in a snow hole. The four-night, full-board trip (worth £475) includes a day of winter skills training followed by a two-day expedition. Alternatively, she can redeem her prize, up to the same value, against any of the company’s Scottish-based holidays or courses.  

Terms & conditions

The closing date is 16 February 2018.  

  1. Applicants must ensure they are of adequate fitness for the holiday.
  2. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and subject to availability.
  3. Applicants must be aged 18 or over, with only one prize entry per household.
  4. Competition closes on 16 February 2018 and the winner will be drawn and contacted within 28 days.
  5. The prize has to be redeemed and the holiday booked within 12 months of issue. Thereafter it is invalid.
  6. The holiday or course must be taken by the prize winner by 31st March 2019.
  7. The prize is valid against any of Scot Mountain Holidays Scottish based holidays or courses subject to availability.
  8. Scot Mountain Holidays reserves the right to deny a booking on a holiday or course should we not think it suitable.
  9. The prize is based on sharing a twin room with a member of the same sex, with the option to upgrade depending on availability.
  10. It is the winner’s responsibility to make sure they are suitably equipped on arrival on a course or holiday. Scot Mountain Holidays do not supply any personal kit (please refer to the relevant kit list on our website:
  11. The winner must arrange their own transport to the designated pick up points for the holiday or course (usually Aviemore Station or Inverness Airport).
  12. The prize does not include travel insurance, personal expenditure, incidental costs or spending money.

Entry is open to residents of the UK except employees (and their families) of The Ramblers, its partners and agents, the suppliers of the prizes and any other companies associated with the competitions. All entries must be made directly by the person entering the competition. Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed or corrupted, or due to computer error in transit. The prizes are as stated, are not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The promoters reserve the right to amend or alter the terms of competitions and reject entries from entrants not entering into the spirit of the competition. In the event of a prize being unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value. The winner(s) agree(s) to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of county of residence and will co-operate with any other reasonable requests by The Ramblers relating to any post-winning publicity. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner(s). If the winner(s) cannot be contacted, or are unable to comply with these terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random, or in the event that the promotion is being judged the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the runner(s)-up selected by the same judges. Failure to respond and/or provide an address for delivery, or failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize. Competitions may be modified or withdrawn at any time. The winner is responsible for expenses and arrangements not specifically included in the prizes, including any necessary travel documents, passports and visas. Prizes are subject to availability and the prize suppliers’ terms and conditions.
