+ This technically advanced hiking shoe features a no-tie lace system that is easy to use and which feels very secure. In addition, a ‘knitted’ construction means there are no seams, adding comfort as well as enhancing the waterproof qualities of the Gore-Tex lining. However, they’re still very light and breathable, with good cushioning and stability – especially at the heel. The outsole provides good all-round grip too.
- The relatively flexible midsole would make walking with a heavy pack uncomfortable, when you’d definitely need stiffer footwear.
VERDICT: These lightweight, supportive shoes are a great option for fast hikes across varied terrain in wet or dry weather.
