North Yorkshire is a wonderful place to go walking with a group of friendly and sociable people. Meet new people and make new friends. Come on a walk with us before making up your mind about joining Northallerton Ramblers.
We organise a choice of walks every Thursday throughout the year, supplemented by shorter walks on Tuesday afternoon/evenings in the summer. Our walking area is from the Yorkshire Dales through to the North York Moors including the coast.
Because our main walking is Thursday, most of our walkers are either retired or in part time employment. However, having said that, we welcome walkers of any age and several times a year during school holidays we have fantastic family days with children from 5 to 16 having fun in mud or sand & sunshine depending on the time of the year. We also walk on a Tuesday during the summer months with a series of shorter 5 to 6 mile pub walks that culminate in a pub meal.
In addition we have 3 or 4 night short breaks walking some of the national trails of our wonderful country. Recently we have walked Hadrian's Wall and also St Cuthbert's Way.
