My first Ramble, please be gentle with me…. So I'm going with something familiar – a mostly woody meander around the Newchurch and Alverstone area. Woodland and water, maybe some wildlife. Drinks stop. No stiles. Minimal road walking. And there’s a pub (Pointer Inn) at the end for anyone who wishes!

Countryside around Godshill
Starts at 10:30: Godshill car park (PO38 3JD, SZ530817)

A loop round in the countryside, coming back via Freemantle Gate and the Donkey Sanctuary.  Not too hilly, but a fair few stiles I'm afraid. Plenty of coffee and cake (or pub) to be found in Godshill at the end of the walk for anyone who wishes.
