A splendid walk in wild countryside with outstanding views. Apart from a few soldiers on manoeuvres we didn't see a soul all day. We did it on a beautiful sunny day, the walking underfoot was generally good. With the aid of the OS Explorer map and a compass we didn't have any navigation problems. A memorable walk.
