Start location Almondell South Entrance, East Calder.
Route Summary Interesting circular walk through Almondell Country Park & along the Union Canal tow path. Excellent visitor centre. Cross impressive viaduct & aqueduct bridges over the River Almond. A walk for all seasons.

A good varied walk for all types of weather

A very varied route, with lots of interest and plenty of useful information. It is possible to eliminate much of the road walking near the end, by extending the route onto the Brox Burn path, then using the direct Uphall village- Uphall Station path.
