An interesting and varied walk, the return on higher ground contrasts with the lower level on the outward route. The map mentioned is well worth acquiring and the area within the National Park is well signed. The bits to and from Ystradfelite add contrast. Some places underfoot are tricky not just on the paths down to the waterfalls, which are worth the effort of reaching. I found the area considerable busier than many places I have walked.

An interesting walk, varied terrains with care needed over stones, tree roots and on steps, but nothing too scary. The couple of steep descents to view waterfalls very worth the effort. I lost the instructions mid walk, but that wasn't a problem as we had the leaflet from the shop. However, we then took a different route back, and made the walk 7.9 miles according to the OS mapping on my phone. As there hadn't been much recent rain there wasn't much mud on the pathways, so we didn't see the waterfalls in full flow.(Checks and balances.) Would certainly do it again.
