How to organise your money raising ramble
Here you’ll find everything you need to get walking – and raising money for BBC Children in Need and the Ramblers!
STEP 1: Decide your route
You may already have a route in mind –but if you’re looking for something different, why not join a Ramblers group walk and connect with other Ramblers up and down the country?
STEP 2: Pick a date
We’d love to get as many people as possible rambling and raising money on the 7 and 8 October, but you can organise or join a Ramblers walk at any time that suits you.
STEP 3: Start your fundraising
Make your metres and miles matter and help transform the lives of children and keep Britain walking. Setting up an online donation page with Just Giving is a simple and effective way to get sponsored and raise money.
Or, if you’d prefer, you can collect your donations and pay them in via our Just Giving page or by popping a cheque in the post.
Then it’s time to spread the word and encourage family, friends and even your local community to support your Ramble.
STEP 4: Enjoy your walk
Wherever and whoever you’re walking with, it’s important to stay safe. The Ramblers has all the guidance you need to enjoy your walk safely.
Visit our walking advice pages for everything you’ll need to prepare you for your Ramble.
STEP 5: Share your stories
Finally, we’d love to hear about your Ramble. Make sure to use #CiNRamble and tag @BBCCiN and @RamblersGB in your social posts.
Paying in your donations
You can pay in your donations by card via our online Just Giving page. Or if you’d prefer to submit them by post, please make any cheques payable to ‘The Ramblers’, write ‘Children in Need Ramble’ on the reverse and send to The Ramblers, 13 Dirty Lane, London SE1 9PA.
Please note that your donation will be shared equally between the Ramblers and Children in Need.
