People's Postcode Lottery

Together with players of People’s Postcode Lottery, we’re opening the way for everyone to get outdoors

Since 2015, support from the players of People's Postcode Lottery has made a huge difference to communities across Britain.

Together, the Ramblers and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have protected access to nature, improved paths, and helped more people experience the benefits of walking.

“The support from players of People's Postcode Lottery has given us the flexibility to tackle inequalities, improve infrastructure and open up access in more places than ever before.”

- Jack Cornish, Director of England at the Ramblers.

Hundreds of thousands of walks since 2015

Since 2015, the players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £23.5 million for Ramblers projects. Just one way this support make a difference is by helping us deliver more than 95,000 walks annually, helping encourage good health, activity and wellbeing.

Transforming lives and landscapes

Thanks to support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery, the Ramblers helps individuals, communities and the countryside to flourish.

“Walking is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to improve physical and mental wellbeing … thanks to our players, more people can discover the joy that walking brings.”
- Laura Chow, Head of Charities at People's Postcode Lottery

Kasturi: Walking to health and happiness

"In January 2024, a hot water bottle burst and I got burned. I went to hospital, but I didn’t get the treatment I should have received. I nearly died twice. During the darkest days following my accident, my fellow Ramblers were there when I was traumatised and alone..."

Israr: Recovering through walking

Paul: A new lease of life with the Ramblers

“The doctor’s surgery got in touch with me to say, you’re very close to getting type 2 diabetes ... it was suggested I join one of these organised walks. It’s had a lot more benefits other than the weight loss. Psychologically, I feel a lot more positive than I did before."
