Group name: Thame & Wheatley
This group is a part of Oxfordshire Area.
Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.
The Thame & Wheatley group is a friendly and lively group which contributes walks of all levels and distances to the Oxfordshire area programme, as well as arranging holidays, awaydays and social events. It is active in footpath checking and maintenance. Members are kept informed of Ramblers events via monthly e-mails. New walkers and potential members are always welcome. The beautiful rural area covered by the group includes 34 parishes within the Vale of Oxford as well as several picturesque market towns. It is crossed by the Thame Valley Walk, the Ridgeway, the Oxfordshire Way and Shakespeare's Way as well as numerous local footpaths.
