Last week (21-26 April) nine Ramblers groups helped launch the John Muir Way, a new national long distance route, by leading a series of walks from its start in Dunbar through to the end point in Helensburgh, a distance of 134 miles in total.

The winners of our President’s Volunteer Awards were unveiled during our annual General Council at the weekend. Presented by Ramblers President Kate Ashbrook and Maria Eagle MP, the awards celebrated achievements including keeping paths clear, leading health walks and promoting the Ramblers.

Ramblers volunteers save Lincolnshire path from continual flooding

A footpath on the outskirts of Lincoln has finally been restored after being covered by a large area of water. The 'pond' was impossible to get around and meant the path had been unusable since 2005.
