Inverclyde is located in west-central Scotland, lying entirely within the historic county of Renfrewshire. Inverclyde extends along the River Clyde and the Firth of Clyde on the north and encompasses an area of hills and valleys to the south.
The landscape includes spectacular moorlands, hills and lochs that lie mainly within Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, a haven for the rarest species of Scottish wildlife and centre for numerous outdoor pursuits and activities.
Inverclyde is made up of three towns, Greenock, Gourock and Port Glasgow and four villages, Kilmacolm, Quarrier's Village to the east and Wemyss Bay and Inverkip to the west.
Walking is a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. We organise walks, on a regular basis, with a leader, that vary in length between 5 and 15 miles on average and may take place over a half-day, a full day or a weekend. Occasionally longer trips are organised.
Most of our walks are within driving distance of Inverclyde and include local hills and walkways to Munros all over Scotland. Walks range from easy strolls right through to strenuous mountain walks.
