We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This undulating walk starts at Ashdown House. Leaving here, we head up Weathercock Hill with its stunning views over the downs and house. We cross the downs to reach the Lambourn Valley Way, which we follow up to Whitehorse Hill and Uffington Castle. Now following the Ridgeway until we turn off and head down past Uffington Wood and Stitchcombe Farm. Now on lower land, we reach Woolstone and Knighton before ascending again at Odstone Farm to the Ridgeway and Waylands Smithy,using the D'arcy Dalton Way .We then cross the Downs again to Weathercock Hill and begin our descent back to Ashdown house.
This walk is mainly in the open so please dress for the weather on the day.

Please park considerately in the small National Trust car park at Ashdown House, which is free of charge and car share if possible. The house is not open on Sundays but is popular with dog walkers
