Overview

Walk: Tal Y Bont to Barmouth via Taith Ardudwy Way and Cambrian Way elements.

Terrain/ Environment: Paths and tracks initially following the Afon Ysgethin up through a delightful wooded glade to meet with a Neolithic Trackway on part of the Taith Ardudwy Way. The Ardudwy Way in total offers some of the best coastal and mountain views in Wales on a clear day.

The walk continues upwards and onwards to join the Cambrian Way and turn southbound back towards the Mawddach estuary and Barmouth. Thereafter are some steep descents. Overall height gain for the first 4.5 miles section is approxmiately 1750ft.

Given the terrain, grade and exposed nature for large parts of the walk protective clothing, walking sticks and ankle protection are highly recommended.
