This is another easy evening walk for those interested in a short leg-stretch to improve health, fitness and meet others. This is a less level route, on a midsummer evening, taking in the beautiful views around Cold Edge Dams and Wainstalls.
This route will encounter some moorland and farmland paths, and a couple of very short inclines. There are a couple of stiles. Please wear appropriate footwear and dress for the forecast conditions. This is a lovely walk offering excellent opportunities to see water birds and moorland specialists like curlews and lapwings so no dogs please.
Meet at the bus turning circle in Wainstalls village. There is ample parking outside the industrial buildings nearby. Please check summer timetables for the local bus service.
