We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Start from Bishop Sutton Village Hall car park SO24 0AL; SU608318 The hall is on the north side of the B3047 between Water Lane and School Lane. We’ve been asked to park on the r.h.s. near the entrance.
The proposed route is just under 8 miles with 5.5 before lunch at the Three Horseshoes, Bighton. There is a fair bit on quiet minor roads (plus a short stretch on a busier one) which should keep mud to manageable levels!
The start/end point is very accessible using the 64 bus from Winchester which stops right outside the village hall at 09.38.
Please let me know if you would like to come by lunchtime on the Wednesday so I can give the publican an idea of numbers.
