The walk begins on part of the Trans Pennine Trail then goes through Dunham Town to the park at Dunham Massey where there are toilets and a cafe. Then crosses the river to Little Bollington and onto the towpath on the Bridgewater canal. Through Agden Brook and Dunham Woodhouses and back to the start.

National Trust members would be able to visit the estate, but we are not parking there because they are now charging £8 per person, not per car  Henshall Lane car park is off the road by the Rope and Anchor  and free.,

There is a toll bridge when you turn off the A57, 25p return.
