Overview

Meet at the ticket machines inside Brighton Station at 10.18.

Suggested train 9.15 London Bridge- calls at East Croydon.

Walk down to the sea front and towards the marina.  Plenty of toilets.

We’ll stop for a snack near the marina and walk along the seafront to the charming village of Rottingdean, where there are plenty of cafes, pubs for lunch, or bring a picnic. This section is 6.5 miles, mostly flat.

There will be time to walk round the village and visit Rudyard Kipling’s pretty gardens.  The Grange Museum should be open if anybody wishes to finish the walk here. Frequent buses back to Brighton.

The path becomes more undulating, and another 2.5 miles takes us to the Meridian Line at Peacehaven. There are frequent buses back to Brighton .
