Burton Waters

The very first walk of Lincoln Ramblers took place 50 years ago on 18th May 1974 starting at the West Common, Lincoln. We don’t know the route of that first walk, but if you look at the map you can Imagine where they might have gone. Today’s walk will try to recreate that walk and take in the Catchwater Drain, West Common, Lincoln Cathedral, Motherby Hill and the Foss Dyke. A flat start and finish with a bit of a hill in the middle, about 8 miles.
