Overview

From the car park, we walk north along the R. Avon to the Avon Dam, then continue along the river westwards to Huntingdon Cross. We ascend Huntingdon Hill to the summit cairn and the drop down to the picturesque Broad Falls. From here we follow the river back to the clapper bridge, cross the river and return to our starting point. Most of the route is along well-marked moorland paths, with a modest ascent up Huntingdon Hill. There are several features of historical interest along the way.
