A lovely, varied walk through fields, up and down slopes with good views, through woods and by rivers.
As this is a figure of eight walk, walkers can either just do the first 3.6 miles, or continue for the second section as well, which creates a total distance of 6.2 miles.
A bit muddy in one or two places, but only one stile. You may find walking poles useful. Bring elevensies and packed lunch if you plan to do the full walk..
Park along the main road in Compton Dando, on the opposite side to the village hall and the Compton Inn. If you plan to use the inn after the walk you could park at the top of their car park.
Meet 10.00 am on the pavement opposite the Compton Inn, Compton Dando BS39 4JZ, ready to start walking at 10.15 am.
