This walk takes in Yarner Wood, Trendlebere Down, Houndtor Wood and Lustleigh Cleave, all of which have areas of rare temperate rain forest. I am not a botanist but will try to point out some of the special features of this habitat. Please assist if you are knowledgeable. In places the route is rough and sometimes steep, we will therefore take our time and help each other if necessary.

Lower Trendlebere Car Park. It is on the north side of the road separating Yarner Wood from Trendlebere Down and is about 2 miles West of Bovey Tracey on the road which leads to Water.
